J'ai fini beaucoup de décors déjà mais je vous en montre juste trois à l'aquarelle pour ne pas Tout spoiler (juste un peu)

Finally, I can show you what I've been working on. I completed quite a lot of backgrounds already but I choose to show you only three painted with watercolour so that I don't reveal All the story from the start (just a little of it)

D'autres recherches

Avant d'entamer les décors définitifs, j'ai fait quelques recherches "d'intégration" personnage-décor pour réfléchir au style des images du film.
Voici deux tests de rendu "final".
Je pense que le film sera effectivement comme ça (sauf que je suis en train de finir les vrais décors et ils sont beaucoup plus jolis ;)

Before I started making the final backgrounds, I tried doing a couple of them and "integrating" the character, to check how the film would look.

Here are two "final renderings". I think it should end up looking rather like this (although I am finishing the real backgrounds right now and they look much nicer ;)

Model Sheet

Des petits model sheet du personnage principal et des poissons. 

La moitié de l'histoire se passe sous l'eau, dans une cité engloutie peuplée de poissons.

Here are a few model sheets of the characters : the little girl and the fish.

Part of the story takes place underwater, in a sunken city full of red fish.

Commençons par la première image dessinée pour le film.
Here we go, I'm finally talking about my graduation film project (for my third year at EMCA, in France, for those who didn't know)
Let's start with the very first picture I drew for the film.

Et pour faire court, après beaucoup de recherches dans tous les sens, j'ai décidé que le personnage risquait de ressembler en gros à ça :
To make it short, after loads of character designs, I decided the main character would look a bit like this.

Bruz !

J'ai l'immense plaisir de vous annoncer que mon film A la Vue du Son est sélectionné au Festival National du Film d'Animation qui se tiendra à Bruz, en banlieue de Rennes, du 7 au 13 décembre 2011. 

C'est à 2h de Paris, et c'est Le rendez-vous à ne pas manquer en cette fin d'année ! ;)

Projections : 

"Compétition Etudiants 2" - Samedi 11 h et Dimanche 21h dans la salle Le Grand Logis à Bruz.

I am very happy to announce that my film "Sound on Sight" is competing in the student competition at this year's National Animation Festival which will be held in Bruz (next to Rennes) from the 7th to the 13th of december.

It's 2 hours away from Paris and The venue you do not want to miss before the end of the year :)

Screening Saturday at 11am and Sunday at 9pm in the Student Competition #2.
